Glorious Church Dedication: RCCG Ondo Province 9 Unveils Ultra-Modern Victory Sanctuary

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ondo Province 9, has dedicated its newly completed ultra-modern church building—Victory Sanctuary—to the glory of God and the service of His people. The grand ceremony was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the church’s location on Ondo Road, Akure.

The dedication service was marked by elegance and deep spiritual fervor, as notable men and women of God gathered to witness the unveiling of the magnificent sanctuary. The occasion resonated with joy, gratitude and prophetic declarations.

Presiding over the dedication was Pastor Elijah Olujimi Ajibade, Assistant Continental Overseer and Regional Pastor of RCCG Region 22. Representing the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Pastor Ajibade declared the church officially open in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Delivering a heartfelt sermon, Pastor Ajibade praised the visionary leadership of the pioneer pastor of the province, Pastor Christopher Sule, for laying a solid spiritual and structural foundation. He also lauded his successor, Pastor Yinka Ogunode, for not only sustaining the vision but enhancing it through dedication, resourcefulness and unwavering commitment.

Pastor Ajibade emphasized that building a church of such magnitude is no ordinary feat, describing it as a miraculous act of divine favour. “God is pleased to build His church and this sanctuary stands as a testament to His faithfulness,” he said.

Taking his sermon from John 14:1–5, he spoke on the eternal hope in Christ, drawing parallels between the physical sanctuary and the heavenly home Jesus has prepared for believers. He urged all present not to miss their place in God’s eternal kingdom.

The message stirred hearts, leading several attendees to respond to the altar call for salvation. Pastor Ajibade prayed fervently for them, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their newfound faith.

Speaking with Democrat News Magazine, Pastor Christopher Sule, now serving as Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Province 11, Breakthrough Cathedral, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Pastor Ogunode’s high vision and leadership. “I thank God for Pastor Ogunode. As the Regional Pastor rightly said, I had a good successor. He has truly elevated the vision we began,” he remarked.

Pastor Sule further noted that the grandeur of the new edifice aligns with RCCG’s Vision 2032, as it will attract kings, noble men and women to worship and fellowship in the sanctuary.

He encouraged members across the province to continue supporting their leaders to bring God’s vision for the Church to full manifestation.

In his response, Pastor Yinka Ogunode gave all glory to God for the successful completion of the project. He extended heartfelt appreciation to every individual and group who contributed—whether financially, materially, or through their time and service.

Ogunode also thanked the esteemed leaders who honoured the occasion with their presence. Their support, he noted, added grace and significance to the historic dedication.

As the congregation celebrated the dedication of Victory Sanctuary, it was clear that RCCG Ondo Province 9 had not only built a structure of bricks and mortar but also established a spiritual landmark for generations to come.
