Dr. Adeniran Oyebade, a renowned grassroots mobiliser, former House of Representatives aspirant and former Ondo Central Senatorial aspirant, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, expressing confidence that the president will receive over one million votes through collective efforts and strategic grassroots mobilisation.
Oyebade, who spoke on his longstanding relationship with Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, described the governor as a trusted friend and a leader whose humility, exemplary character and distinctive leadership qualities set him apart. According to him, his friendship with Aiyedatiwa dates back to the period before the latter became governor of Ondo State.
“I have been a good friend of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa before he became governor. He is a leader with a difference and an epitome of humility,” Oyebade stated, emphasising the personal relationship and mutual understanding that have continued to define their association.
The grassroots politician noted that Aiyedatiwa’s leadership style, characterised by humility and accessibility, has earned him admiration among associates and supporters. He maintained that genuine leadership goes beyond occupying public office, stressing that a leader’s character, relationship with the people and commitment to service are essential ingredients for sustainable political success.
Speaking on the 2027 presidential election, Oyebade expressed optimism that President Tinubu would enjoy substantial support in Ondo State and beyond. He pledged to work with like-minded political stakeholders, community leaders and grassroots mobilisers to galvanise support for the president’s re-election, with a target of delivering over one million votes.
Oyebade’s political profile as a grassroots mobiliser, coupled with his previous aspirations for the House of Representatives and the Ondo Central Senatorial District, places him among political stakeholders seeking to strengthen engagement with voters at the community level. His stated commitment underscores the importance of grassroots participation, political networking and sustained mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He expressed confidence that unity, strategic collaboration and effective engagement with the electorate would be crucial to achieving the ambitious electoral target. As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of 2027, Oyebade’s declaration signals his readiness to contribute to the campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election while maintaining his appreciation for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership qualities and longstanding friendship.
