HIGH CHIEF MOLOS CALLS FOR CALM, URGES ESE-ODO RESIDENTS TO DISREGARD FAKE NEWS OF BANDITS OR ARMED MEN.

The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, has called for calm across the Council area, following false reports of bandits or armed men entering Amapere town.

In a statement issued today, High Chief Molos urged all residents of Ese-Odo LGA to remain peaceful and go about their legitimate businesses without fear. He clarified that there is NO INVASION BY BANDITS OR ARMED MEN at Amapere, Agadagba Obon, or any other community within the Local Government Area.

“The rumour that bandits were sighted at Amapere is completely FALSE and should be disregarded. Ese-Odo remains peaceful and secure,” he said.

High Chief Molos described the fake news as the handiwork of individuals who do not wish the LGA well. He appealed to citizens to avoid spreading unverified information on social media, especially WhatsApp groups, noting that such rumors only create unnecessary panic and disrupt economic activities.

Reaffirming the Council’s commitment to security, the Chairman said: “Ese-Odo Local Government Area is known for peace and unity, and we will continue to work with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and youths to sustain that peace. There is no cause for alarm.”

He further encouraged residents to report any suspicious movement or activity to the nearest security formation or Council office instead of circulating rumors.
