BREAKING: Massive Crowd Receives Islamic Cleric Alhaji Sheu Agba in Ilorin, Vows to Revive PDP Ahead of 2027
Thousands of enthusiastic followers today trooped out in large numbers to welcome a prominent Islamic cleric and scholar, Alhaji Sheu Agba, popularly known as “001,” as he arrived in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
The visit, which drew mammoth crowds from different parts of the state, created an atmosphere of excitement and political anticipation among supporters and residents.
Speaking with journalists at his residence shortly after his arrival, the cleric expressed his determination to reposition the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to him, his presence in Ilorin marks the beginning of a renewed effort to strengthen the party’s structure and mobilize support across communities.
Alhaji Sheu Agba declared that he is committed to doing everything within his capacity to ensure that the PDP regains political strength in Kwara State. He emphasized that his mission is to reawaken the party’s grassroots base and inspire supporters to work collectively toward victory in the coming elections.
The Islamic scholar also sent a message of reassurance to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, whom he described as a respected leader in Kwara politics. He urged him not to be worried about those who have left the party, expressing confidence that many of them would soon return to the PDP fold.
According to him, even if some members decide not to return, the party would continue to grow stronger with the influx of new supporters ready to identify with the PDP’s vision. He maintained that thousands of people are already aligning with the movement to rebuild the party in the state.
Alhaji Sheu Agba also used the opportunity to appreciate his followers for their unwavering support, loyalty, and prayers over time. He noted that the encouragement he receives from them has been the driving force behind the movement he is championing.
He concluded by thanking his supporters for their commitment, stating that their steadfast belief in his leadership has made the mission possible and would continue to sustain the momentum as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 general elections.
