OSATU INAUGURATES NEW LEADERS, HONOURS EMINENT NIGERIANS
Eminent Nigerians that have been contributing in no small measure towards the advancement of Ondo State and Nigeria at large have been honoured as OSATU inaugurated new executive members that will steer the leadership of the union in the next four years.
Some of the awardees that were decorated with the presentation of insignia of honour at NUJ event centre on Monday 31st of January 2022 include the former Governor of Ondo State Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Hon. Alaba Akinlaja, Engr. Daisi Komolafe and a host of others.
While addressing the gathering, Oba Oluyemi Falae of Ilu-Abo in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State congratulated the leadership of the union under the headship of Mr. Thomas Akarakiri saying that the members of the group have been consistent in their day to day activities which has further promote development of the state.
While urging the new executive members under the leadership of Mr. Akarakiri to continue to their dedication towards moving their members forward in all areas, Oba Falae promised time to time support for the union.
In his acceptance speech, the president of OSATU in Ondo State, Mr. Thomas Akarakiri pointed out that his administration will continue to build on lasting legacies he had put in place during his first term in office.
“We have been giving our best to our members in all ramifications, like soft loans to our members in Ondo State to ensure that indigent traders enjoy dividend of my administration.
“I have the honour and privilege to promise to continue all we have been doing and I want to use this medium to call on all our members to support us and to cooperate with all the newly inaugurated executives to enable us to take our union to the next level.
Some of the executive members that spoke with the Democrat News Magazine include the Vice President 1, PRO 1 and Treasurer who promised to work with the president transparently to move the union forward as they have been doing.
Also in his good will message, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko who was represented by Engr. Clement Faboyede charged the leadership of the union not to lose sight of the transformational agenda for their members.
