ULEFUNTA2022: HON. SULEIMAN AMINU BECOMES “ATONA EWE OF AKURE
Traditional Rulers across the country have been called upon to emulate the Deji of Akure land Oba (Dr.) Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi in promoting national unity through intertribal chieftaincy honour as Hon. Suleiman Aminu, the Coordinator of Tinubu Support Organization was honoured with chieftaincy title as “Atona Ewe of Akure land (Role Model for Akure Youths.)
The honour was bestowed on him at Deji’s Palace on Saturday 8th of October, 2022 during the grand finale of 2022 annual Ulefunta Festival for the invaluable contributions he has been contributing in no small measure to the develpment Nigerian youths and for serves as inspiration to them.
Ulefunta Festival is an annual event after 7 days of traditioal leave when Deji is not allowed to see anyone.
After the 7th day, Deji calls for the gathering of all his subjects and pray for them as they commence the journey of another year in Akure traditonal calendar.
Responding to the honour done to by Deji, Hon. Aminu who was full of joy for the honour he described as symbol national unity he also sent a goodwill message to the Deji of Akure Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelisu, on the success of 2022 annual Ulefunta festival and promised to be good ambassador of the community in all areas of life.
Aminu said he has been working for Tinubu to become the President for the past 19 years because of his leadership qaulities and pray that God will grant him grace to become the President of Nigeria in 2023.
As 2023 election is gathering momentum, he called on Nigerians to get their PVCs and vote massively for Tinubu as the president of Nigeria and that they should be peacefully before, during and after the election.
While performing the chieftaincy installation,
High Chief Rotimi Olusanya, Asamo of Akure charged Hon. Aminu to see himself as an Akure man by the virtue of the Chieftaincy title given to him by Deji of Akure and that he should be ready to contribute to the development of the town.
Also speaking Alh. Sadiq Babangida the Seriki of Housa in Akure, commended Deji for the honour saying that Oba Aladelusi as a man of honour and a lover of
people and that he has been instumental to the development of the country which he said was the reason Federal Government of Nigeria bestowed National honour on him.
Medical outreach, novelty football match, public lecture, Jumat and Church services, were parts of the highlight of the programme this year as different groups and age grade took their turns to pay homage to Deji.
