Governor’s Aide, Hon. Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye Donates 25 Solar Street Lights to Ijare Community
In a remarkable gesture of community service, Hon. Olori Oyinkansola Williams Aroloye, Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Mobilization, has donated 25 solar-powered streetlights to Ijare community in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
This project, which was unveiled on Thursday, December 12, 2024, symbolizes her unwavering commitment to uplifting her hometown and promoting sustainable development as part of mega Christmas empowerment coming to the people of the community and beyond.
The installation of the solar streetlights brought unparalleled joy to the people of Ijare as residents of Ijare lauded Hon. Aroloye’s thoughtful initiative, which they described as a transformative legacy project.
The streetlights, strategically placed across the community, are set to improve security, boost nighttime activities, and enhance the overall quality of life for the people.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project, Hon. Oyinkansola Aroloye shared that the gesture fulfilled a lifelong dream of contributing to the progress of her birthplace.
She expressed her gratitude to her husband, Hon. Prince Kayode Aroloye, the Chairman of Idanre Local Council Development Area, for his steadfast support. She credited him as a pillar of strength, whose encouragement has been instrumental in her impactful endeavours.
Reflecting on her inspiration, she recalled her childhood fascination with the development of communities around her. “When I was schooling in Ijero, I observed the level of development there. I later discovered that a daughter of the community, married to an influential man, was instrumental in that progress. That realization ignited a passion in me to do the same for my people, and today, I am fulfilling that dream,” she said.
Hon. Aroloye further highlighted the role of her NGO, Oyin Empowerment Foundation, in addressing the needs of the less privileged, noted that the foundation, which she established three years ago, focuses on supporting widows, empowering youth, providing assistance to indigent students, and extending help to the vulnerable in society saying that this is the third edition of her numerous impactful initiatives.
Residents of Ijare showered praises on Hon. Oyinkansola Aroloye for her selfless contributions. They commended her foresight and leadership, emphasizing how the solar-powered streetlights would serve as a lasting testament to her dedication to the community.
