ANCOPSS APPLAUDS GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA’s GOOD GOVERNANCE AND BOLD INVESTMENT IN EDUCATION AS ANCOPSS LEADERSHIP VISITS WOMEN AFFAIRS AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONER
Today, the Association of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) in Ondo State, led by Dr. Mrs. Fadekemi Jogbodo, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye. The visit was an opportunity for the association to express their gratitude to the Ondo State Governor for his supportive and inclusion of the teachers in the state.
During the meeting, Dr. Jogbodo commended the Hon. Commissioner for her continued support of the association since her assumption to Office, noting that such backing had been lacking in time past. She also praised the government for the recent employment of 1,100 teachers, highlighting the positive impact on education in the state.
The association took the opportunity to advocate for the employment of the Aiyedatiwa Teachers, specifically calling for the inclusion of Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) teachers in schools to further bolster educational support.
In response, the Hon. Commissioner congratulated Dr. Jogbodo on being the first female leader of ANCOPSS, recognizing the significance of her leadership in promoting inclusivity. She acknowledged the contributions of teachers in Ondo State, stating that they play a crucial role in nurturing students on behalf of the governor.
Dr. Osamaye also outlined upcoming initiatives from the ministry aimed at addressing students’ needs, including a Girls’ Conference scheduled for the second week of September and a campaign, Tech and Girl/ Pad a Girl campaign and Boy Child awareness campaign.
The visit underscored the collaborative efforts between the government and educational associations to enhance the welfare of women and students in Ondo State.
