Southwest Heralds Honours Cocoa Entrepreneur, Pamper Petroleum CEO for Outstanding Contributions
Kolawole Emerges Icon of Cocoa Farming & Agricultural Enterprise, Owolanke Bags Icon of Fair Pricing, Consumer Trust & Community Impact Award
The Management, Editorial Board and Planning Committee of Southwest Heralds Magazine have announced the selection of two distinguished Ondo State entrepreneurs for special recognition at the forthcoming Southwest Heralds Public Lecture and Award Event.
Among the honourees is Hon. Folorunsho Kolawole, a prominent cocoa merchant and agricultural entrepreneur from Ayede-Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, who has been selected for the prestigious “Icon of Cocoa Farming and Agricultural Enterprise Award.”
According to the organisers, the honour is in recognition of Kolawole’s outstanding and sustained contributions to agriculture, particularly his remarkable involvement in large-scale cocoa farming, cocoa merchandising, palm-oil production and plantain farming.
The award notification described him as an educated farmer and successful cocoa merchant whose over three decades of commitment to agriculture have been marked by consistency, resilience, enterprise and dedication. His activities across different segments of the agricultural value chain, the organisers noted, have distinguished him as an important agricultural entrepreneur.
Southwest Heralds further stated that Kolawole’s contribution to cocoa cultivation and commerce goes beyond personal business success, stressing that his agricultural enterprise contributes to food production, employment opportunities, rural economic activities and wealth creation.
Also receiving recognition is Mr. Olusola Owolanke, Chief Executive Officer of Pamper Petroleum, Ondo State, who has been selected for the “Icon of Fair Pricing, Consumer Trust & Community Impact Award.”
The award, according to Southwest Heralds Magazine, is reserved for an individual whose business philosophy demonstrates that commercial success can go hand in hand with genuine concern for the welfare and interests of consumers and the wider community.
The organisers particularly recognised Owolanke’s leadership of Pamper Petroleum and his reported commitment to accurate and transparent fuel dispensing. At a time when consumers place premium importance on confidence, fairness and value at the point of purchase, his establishment has attracted commendation for its emphasis on ensuring that customers receive the quantity of petroleum products for which they have paid.
The Management and Editorial Board of Southwest Heralds Magazine said the two honours reflect the importance of recognising individuals whose entrepreneurial activities contribute meaningfully to agriculture, commerce, consumer confidence and community development.
The forthcoming award event is expected to bring together notable personalities, professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders and stakeholders from across Ondo State and the Southwest region to celebrate individuals whose contributions continue to make an impact in their respective fields.
The recognition of Hon. Folorunsho Kolawole and Mr. Olusola Owolanke therefore adds another remarkable chapter to the magazine’s efforts to spotlight enterprise, integrity, community service and productive contributions to the development of society.
