He said the summit outcome will be used to develop a 10-year roadmap in those key areas with implementable recommendations.

The chairman further stated that the initiative is expected to harmonize development plans across Akure South, Akure North and Ifedore Local Government Areas, with the goal of positioning the corridor as a smart and integrated economic zone.

The Chairman also explained the call for the establishment of a Central coordinating body and Akure Speaking Communities Traditional Council explaining that such structures would complement the already existing Community Associations by serving as an umbrella platform to promote collective interest and to also give the Traditional Rulers a platform for unity and cohesion across the three Local Governments.

The 3 day summit with the theme “Building a smart, integrated and prosperous development corridor” was well attended and brought together Traditional Rulers, Political Leaders, Professionals and Stakeholders from Akure North, Akure South and Ifedore.
