HIGH CHIEF MOLOS PRESENTS 6,000 EXERCISE BOOKS TO ESE-ODO PUPILS
Education Support Targets 73 Public Primary Schools Across LGA….
The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, today presented 6,000 exercise books to pupils of public primary schools across the Council area at the Local Authority Mega Primary School, Igbekebo.
The books were handed over to the Area Education Officer, Mr. Ijanpele Mada Isaiah; the Acting Education Secretary, Dr. Aina B. B.; the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers( NUT) in Ese-Odo LGA, Barrister Wilson Duinbaijutuwaton Ajama; and the Association of Heads of Primary Schools of Nigeria(AOPSHON), led by Mr. Iwanefun Olorunjune for onward distribution to pupils across the 73 public primary schools in the council area.
The gesture, according to the Chairman, is aimed at easing the burden on parents in purchasing writing materials for their wards and improving learning conditions in public schools.
In his brief address, High Chief Molos expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his unwavering support which made the initiative possible. He urged the pupils to make judicious use of the books and remain committed to their studies.
In separate responses, the NUT and AOPSHON chairmen expressed gratitude to the Governor of Ondo State, and High Chief Molos on behalf of the pupils and parents. They noted that it had been a long time since schools in the LGA benefited from such direct intervention from the local government. They also seized the opportunity to appeal for the deployment of more teachers to schools across Ese-Odo LGA.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Vice Chairman of Ese-Odo LGA, Olori Beauty Modimu-Ogbaro; the Secretary to the Local Government, Pastor Fidelis Ola Egbukuyomi; Supervisors, Special Advisers, and other principal officers of the Council.
