Ilasun Community Shines as Landlord Association Installs Multi-Million Naira 500KVA ASTOR Transformer
In a remarkable display of unity and selfless community development, the Landlord and Landladies Association of Ilasun Community in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State has successfully procured and installed a brand new 500KVA ASTOR transformer to improve electricity supply within the area.
The laudable initiative, described as a multi-million naira project, stands as a testament to the collective determination of the residents to enhance their standard of living and address long-standing power challenges affecting the community.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of Ilasun Community Landlord Association, Pastor (DS) Sunday Adebayo Adeosun, expressed profound gratitude to God for the successful completion of the project and for the visionary leadership of the Olu of Ilasun Community.
He noted that Ilasun Community is privileged to be among the first in the area to embark on such a significant infrastructural achievement through self-help, describing it as a milestone worthy of celebration.
In an interview with Democrat News Magazine in Akure on March 24, 2025, Pastor Adeosun commended members of the association for their unwavering cooperation, unity, and financial commitment towards ensuring that the transformer project became a reality.
He further appreciated the Electricity Committee of the association for their diligence, resilience, and technical input throughout the process, emphasizing that the project was accomplished without any direct government intervention.
The chairman also extended special appreciation to Engr. Martins for his professional expertise and efforts in sourcing and facilitating the delivery of the high-capacity transformer from Lagos, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Pastor Adeosun called on all residents of Ilasun Community to rejoice and remain grateful, noting that the successful installation of the transformer marks the beginning of better days, improved business activities, and enhanced socio-economic development.
