Amotekun Foils Suspicious Movement in Akure, Intercepts Scores of Hausa/ Fulani With Truck 

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, intercepted and arrested a large number of men of Hausa/Fulani coming from North at Stadium Junction along Oba Adesida Road, Akure, Ondo State.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that the men were conveyed in a truck loaded with items reportedly kept under lock and key, while several of them sat atop the vehicle. The truck was intercepted by vigilant Amotekun operatives who were on routine patrol around the Fiwasaye axis before escorting the vehicle to the Stadium Junction for questioning.

According to sources at the scene, the Amotekun officers requested details of their journey, including where they were coming from and the purpose of their visit to Ondo State. However, as of the time of filing this report, the responses given were said to be unsatisfactory, prompting further investigation by the security outfit.

The development attracted the attention of many residents, who gathered around the area to observe the unfolding situation as Amotekun operatives carried out their duties professionally.

Residents of Akure and other parts of Ondo State have since commended the Amotekun Corps for their vigilance, describing the action as a clear demonstration of the agency’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
