In a commendable gesture aimed at strengthening the bond between government and traditional institutions, the Chairman of Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Donald Gbenga Fasua, has presented a brand-new car to the Elekun of Ilekun, Oba Benjamin Olufemi Omoleewo Elekun. The presentation, which took place last week, has been described as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to support and honour traditional rulers within the region.

The new vehicle is expected to enhance the monarch’s mobility and facilitate his community engagements, further enabling him to carry out his cultural and leadership responsibilities with greater ease.

During an interview with The Democrat News Magazine, the Chief of Staff to the monarch, Rev. Oladunjoye, expressed deep appreciation to the local government chairman for the thoughtful gesture. He noted that the car gift was not only a sign of respect but also a recognition of Oba Omoleewo’s contributions to peace, unity, and development in Ilekun and its environs.

In his words:
“Let me use this golden opportunity to congratulate Kabiyesi on the presentation of a brand-new jeep to him by the government. More blessings and sound health to you, Sir. Esin Oba a joko pe o, e gbo, e to loroye re o, Amin. Once again, congratulations, sir.”
