Fortunate Seeds Academy Celebrates Colorful End-of-Session Ceremony, Launches Secondary School Arm
In Akure, Ondo State — It was a moment of joy, reflection, and fresh beginnings as Fortunate Seeds Academy, Akure, rolled out the drums in a grand celebration of the 2024/2025 academic session. The two-day event, held on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th of July, marked the graduation and valedictory ceremony for the Basic 6 pupils, while also unveiling a new milestone — the official launch of the school’s secondary arm, Fortunate Seeds College.
The event, which took place within the school premises, featured colorful displays by pupils, heartfelt speeches, and emotional reflections from graduating students who looked back on their nine-year journey from Kindergarten to Basic Six.
In his opening remarks, Magistrate Adebayo, Chairman of the occasion, congratulated the graduating pupils and urged them to remain focused on their future goals. He also encouraged parents to continue supporting their children’s academic journey and commended the school for its unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
Delivering his welcome address, Adebayo Temidayo Moses, the Director of Studies, expressed deep gratitude to all stakeholders — pupils, parents, and staff — for their role in the school’s growth. He described the academic session as one filled with remarkable achievements, particularly highlighting the outstanding performance of the Basic 6 pupils in their external examinations.

He went on to announce the launch of Fortunate Seeds College, the school’s secondary arm, now open for JSS1 admissions, as part of the academy’s vision to nurture learners from foundation to excellence.
Mr. Adebayo thanked the school’s staff for their dedication and tireless service, describing them as the “seeds behind the success we harvest today.” He also appreciated the unwavering support of parents and guardians, urging them to continue collaborating with the school in the new academic year.
He announced a revised school fee structure aimed at balancing affordability with the continued delivery of quality education. Parents were also encouraged to enroll their children in the upcoming holiday lessons and prepare for the new session by collecting textbooks and study materials early.
In a motivational session, Pastor Alaba Aliu, Editor-in-Chief of The Democrat News Magazine, delivered a powerful message to the pupils. He challenged them to dream big, prepare diligently, and walk with the right peers. Above all, he emphasized the importance of faith, stating that “God has the final say over all things.”
