VCPA CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY IN GRAND STYLE, HONOURS OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS
The numerous members of Video Practitioner and Photographers’ Association in Ondo State under the leadership of Chief Dotun Omotayo have rolled out drums to celebrate 30th anniversary of the existence of the association in a unique way.
Video Practitioner and Photographers’ Association (VCPA) comprises of photographers and video camera operators within and outside government employment that operates in Ondo State.
While speaking with journalists at NUJ Event Centre, the Venue of the celebration, the president of the association Chief Dotun Omotayo who was extremely happy for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the association in grand style which he said was the first of its kind.
In his words: “What we are seeing here today is first of its kind the history of this association and are advising our members to keep the unity going and they should shun all forms of evil practices.
“I will like to use this opportunity to appreciate the contributions of Oba Sunday Adebayo, Asakin of Abo Asakin, Alh. Yayi Akorede, Chief Imam of Akure, all our awardees and the people that contributed one way or the other ensure the success of our gathering today.
In his comment, at the occasion Asakin of Abo Asakin, Oba (Dr.) Sunday Adebayo Oluwatuyi who donated a plot of the land to the association in his community urged the members of the association to be consistent in moving the association forward.
Oba Adebayo who is the life patron of the association also pointed out that he will not relent in his efforts towards improving the lot the association from time to time.
Alh. Yayi Akorede who mobilized materials for building of their secretariat said that the leadership of the association should be focus as to enable them take the association to next level of glory.
One of the awardees, Pastor Sunday Adeosun who donated a plot of land to the association while speaking with journalists appreciated the gesture and promised to keep doing well in the society for more recognition and awards. He charged the members to keep working hard and diversify into many professions in order to break forth.
Also speaking another awardees, Aare Oye Oyeyemi Najimdeen, Prince Adeyemi Adejayan and others expressed their heartfelt joy over the awards bestowed on them and they promised to continue to do their duties well in the society.
