NOA Leads Enlightenment Road Walk in Akoko NW, Rallies Artisans on National Development Themes
In a spirited display of patriotism and civic engagement, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Akoko North West, led by the Community Orientation and Mobilization Officer (COMO), Mr. Asa Rasaki, embarked on a Road Walk and sensitization campaign through the streets of Oyin Akoko to raise awareness on five thematic areas vital to national development.
The Road Walk, which drew the attention of residents and passersby, was supported by members of the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) Brigade, who joined in spreading key messages of unity, patriotism, discipline, and national rebirth.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Rasaki emphasized that the sensitization campaign focused on five critical areas aimed at fast-tracking Nigeria’s development: patriotism and national ethics, value reorientation, peace and security, anti-corruption, and citizens’ responsibility.
The campaign reached a high point at a town hall engagement with the Artisan Association in Oyin Akoko, where Mr. Rasaki addressed a gathering of skilled workers on the need to align their daily activities with the national development agenda.
In his remarks, Mr Akinremi Abey Samuel -Chairman Tailoring Association Oyin Akoko called on the Federal Government to urgently address the persistent clashes between farmers and herders, especially in rural communities, describing it as a major threat to security and economic stability.
“This insecurity is driving fear into the hearts of our people and affecting productivity in our communities,” he said, appealing for swift and lasting intervention from relevant authorities.
The NOA’s initiative was widely applauded by community members, who expressed hope that such grassroots enlightenment campaigns would help foster unity and progress in the nation.
