Olumafon of Imafon Kingdom Felicitates Nigerians on Independence Day, Prays for Greater Prosperity
The Olumafon of Imafon Kingdom, Oba Samuel Aliu Adegbehingbe Atonlusi I, has felicitated with all sons and daughters of Imafon Kingdom, as well as Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, on the occasion of the nation’s Independence Day celebration and the commencement of a new month.
In a goodwill message marking the significant occasion, the revered monarch extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Imafon Kingdom, urging them to remain united, peaceful and committed to the continued progress and development of the kingdom and Nigeria as a whole.
Oba Adegbehingbe noted that Independence Day remains an important moment for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey, appreciate the sacrifices of past leaders and patriots, and renew their collective commitment towards building a stronger, more peaceful and prosperous country.
The monarch commended the contributions of past and present leadership of the country, acknowledging the efforts made over the years towards advancing national development, strengthening democratic governance and improving the wellbeing of the Nigerian people.
He called on Nigerians, irrespective of their political, religious, ethnic or geographical differences, to continue to promote peace, unity, mutual respect and understanding, stressing that the progress of the nation requires the collective efforts and cooperation of all citizens.
The Olumafon further urged the people of Imafon Kingdom and Nigerians at large to remain hopeful and patriotic, while supporting initiatives capable of promoting economic growth, employment opportunities, social development and improved living standards for the people.
He prayed that Almighty God would continue to guide the nation’s leaders and grant them wisdom, courage and understanding to steer the affairs of the country, while also praying for Nigeria to thrive economically and make remarkable progress in all spheres of political, social and national development.
