Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Mobilization, used the occasion to reaffirm the importance of keeping indigenous traditions alive. She noted that cultural festivals such as the Ijare Yam Festival provide an opportunity for the younger generation to understand and appreciate the history, customs and values handed down by their forefathers.
Speaking with Democrat News Magazine, Hon. Aroloye also expressed her appreciation for the developmental strides of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa across the state, particularly in the area of infrastructure and community development. She said the administration’s efforts in improving roads and other infrastructure deserve commendation and encouragement from the people.
In her words, “We appreciate our Governor for the road construction and infrastructure, so also the women empowerment. Our amiable Governor is doing well in Ondo State and we must appreciate his large heart and consistency in ensuring that life is better for the good people of Ondo State at large.”
The former Special Assistant further stressed that responsible leadership should be acknowledged when its impact is felt by ordinary citizens. According to her, the ongoing efforts of the Aiyedatiwa administration in various sectors demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of life of the people, while she urged citizens to continue supporting initiatives that promote development, peace and progress across Ondo State.
Beyond politics, Hon. Aroloye has continued to distinguish herself through humanitarian and community-focused initiatives. Through her NGO and other empowerment platforms, she has contributed to the welfare of vulnerable members of society, particularly widows and orphans, while also supporting young people and students through various empowerment interventions.
Her interventions have also included the provision of solar-powered street lights to communities, an initiative aimed at improving security, extending productive hours and contributing to the general well-being of residents. Her support for students and other members of the community has equally earned her recognition among those committed to grassroots development and social empowerment.
As the people of Ijare celebrated their cherished Yam Festival, Hon. Oyinkansola Aroloye’s participation added another dimension to the celebration, combining cultural preservation with a renewed call for development and collective responsibility.
