GREAT IFE AKURE BRANCH HAILS ODUSANYA’S APPOINTMENT AS ONDO HEAD OF SERVICE, EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN HIS EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP
The Akure Branch of the Great Ife Alumni Association has extended warm congratulations to Chief Segun Odusanya on his appointment as the Head of Service of Ondo State, describing the development as a well-deserved recognition of competence, experience and dedication to public service.
In a press statement made available to Democrat News Magazine and duly signed by Chief Jimbola Adebisi Chairman and other Executive Members of the association in Akure on Monday, June 8, 2026, the alumni body lauded the appointment, noting that Chief Odusanya possesses the requisite knowledge, character, and administrative expertise needed to drive excellence within the state’s civil service.
The association described the newly appointed Head of Service as a reservoir of knowledge whose remarkable understanding of public administration and governance has distinguished him throughout his career. According to the statement, his wealth of experience accumulated over several years in various strategic positions within the public service would undoubtedly be brought to bear in advancing the bureaucratic system of Ondo State.
The Great Ife Alumni further emphasized that the prestigious institution, formerly known as the University of Ife and now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has consistently produced leaders, administrators, and professionals who have excelled in their respective fields. They noted that the university’s enduring culture of academic excellence and leadership development has adequately prepared its graduates to make meaningful contributions to society.
Expressing absolute confidence in Chief Odusanya’s ability to succeed in his new assignment, the association stated that his track record of service speaks volumes about his capacity to provide visionary leadership. They affirmed that his appointment would usher in greater efficiency, professionalism, and innovation within the state’s civil service structure.
The statement further highlighted that Chief Odusanya has recorded phenomenal impacts in every office he has occupied prior to his elevation as Head of Service. The alumni body also used the opportunity to congratulate the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what they described as a thoughtful and strategic appointment. They commended the governor’s commitment to placing capable hands in key positions and expressed optimism that the collaboration between Governor Aiyedatiwa and Chief Segun Odusanya would further strengthen governance and accelerate development across Ondo State.
