Appointment of Ondo State Head of Service: Your Elevation Is Well Deserved, NUT Chairman Tells Odusanya
The Chairman of the Ondo State Wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Ayodele Samuel Leke, has warmly congratulated Chief Segun Odusanya on his appointment as the new Head of Service of Ondo State, describing the elevation as a well-deserved recognition of years of dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service to the state.
In a press statement made available to Democrat News Magazine on Sunday, June 7, 2026, Comrade Leke noted that Chief Odusanya’s emergence as the number one civil servant in the state did not come as a surprise to many who have closely followed his remarkable career progression and exemplary leadership within the public service.
The NUT Chairman particularly commended the new Head of Service for his sterling performance while serving as a Permanent Secretary, noting that his tenure in various capacities was characterized by diligence, transparency, commitment to excellence, and an unwavering passion for the growth of the Ondo State Civil Service.
According to him, Chief Odusanya’s vast experience, administrative competence, and wealth of knowledge have adequately prepared him for the enormous responsibility of steering the affairs of the state’s civil service. He expressed confidence that the new Head of Service would bring innovation, efficiency, and renewed vigor to the system.
Comrade Leke also offered fervent prayers for divine wisdom, strength, sound health, and success as Chief Odusanya assumes the pinnacle position in the state’s civil service hierarchy. He stated that the task ahead requires courage, vision, and exceptional leadership qualities, expressing optimism that the new Head of Service possesses all the attributes necessary to excel.
The labour leader further applauded the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as a wise and strategic appointment. He noted that the Governor’s decision reflects his commitment to placing capable and experienced hands in key positions to drive effective governance and sustainable development across the state.
Comrade Leke concluded by expressing the readiness of the Nigeria Union of Teachers to continue supporting government policies and programmes that promote the welfare of workers and the overall development of Ondo State.
