Transforming Ese-Odo: Chairman Caleb Molos Records Massive Developmental Strides Across Communities
The Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, has continued to win admiration from residents and stakeholders following a wave of impactful developmental projects and people-oriented programmes currently transforming communities across the council area.
In a press statement made available to Democrat News Magazine in Akure on Saturday, May 23, 2026, the council chairman highlighted a series of developmental interventions aimed at improving infrastructure, boosting social welfare, and enhancing governance within the local government.
Among the notable achievements of the administration is the installation of solar-powered street lights at Inikorogha and Akpata communities, a development that has significantly improved security, visibility, and socio-economic activities within the affected areas. The administration also extended solar-powered lighting to the ICT Centre in Igbobini, further strengthening access to technology and creating a conducive environment for digital activities.
In a bid to improve transportation, administration, and operational efficiency, High Chief Caleb Molos approved the purchase of official vehicles for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and other principal officers of the council. The administration also procured a legislative bus for lawmakers and a staff bus for members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), demonstrating commitment to institutional effectiveness and staff welfare.
Infrastructure development has also remained a key focus of the administration, with the construction of a 500-metre roofed footbridge at Opuba aimed at easing movement and improving connectivity for residents. Similarly, approval has been granted for the construction of a one-kilometre market road at Agadagba Obon to facilitate transportation and commercial activities.
In further efforts to stimulate local commerce and improve economic opportunities, the council embarked on the construction of 30 open market shops at Agadagba Obon Main Market, while work is ongoing on another 20 open market shops at Kiribo to support traders and small-scale entrepreneurs.
The chairman’s administration has equally demonstrated concern for vulnerable members of society through a social welfare programme designed to provide stipends to 300 aged people across the local government, a gesture widely described as compassionate and people-centred.
Also receiving government attention are public facilities and official residences, as the administration recently embarked on the renovation of NDDC quarters for principal officers in Igbekebo, alongside the renovation of the Chairman’s official residence to ensure improved functionality and conducive service delivery.
In another remarkable intervention, the council has commenced grading and widening of township roads across communities in Ese-Odo Local Government, a move expected to ease transportation, improve accessibility, and encourage socio-economic growth.
