Obituary Of Dr. Rueben Adepoju Adeboyeje
A one time Provost of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Dr. Rueben Adepoju Adeboyeje has passed on to the great beyond.
He died during a brief illness at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Luth, Idi Araba at the age of 80
Dr Adeboyeje joined the services of Adeyemi College of Education in 1978 as a lecturer and rose to become the Provost of the institution between 1999 and 2003.
His dedication and loyalty as a lecturer and head of the institution was unequal.
Dr Adeboyeje was purely a community man to the core as this was evidence in his struggle for the development of his community with all social amenities.
Until his death, he was the Olori ebi of Ikuejamofo family in Igbisin Oloto land in Okitipupa Local Government areas of Ondo State.
He was also a one time Chairman of Ondo State poultry farmers association of Nigeria .
Confirming the death of his father to the family, his eldest son, Tope Adeboyeje said his death was a shocking one and a big blow to the children.
He said his father was a loving , caring and disciplined man, though he lived a fulfilled life but we will surely miss his regular counsel and advise.
The remains of Dr. Adeboyeje has been kept at the Luth Hospital morque as burial will be announced later by the family.
He is survived by wives, children and Grandchildren.
