Rising Star Shines Bright: Pemisire Temidire Excel Bags Distinguished Artist of the Year
Pemisire Temidire Excel, a JSS One student of the Federal Girls’ College, Akure, has been proudly honoured with the Distinguished Artist of the Year Award by The Democrat News Magazine, in recognition of her extraordinary musical talent and inspiring rise in the arts.
The colourful award ceremony, held in Akure on 28th December 2025, celebrated Temidire as a rare gem whose gifts continue to bring pride and joy to society. Described as a remarkably talented young girl, she stood out as a symbol of excellence, discipline, and promise far beyond her years.
Born on 3rd January 2015 into the distinguished family of Mr. and Mrs. Salau-Temidire John of Oka Akoko, Ondo State, Temidire’s journey of greatness began early. From childhood, she displayed uncommon grace, courage, and a deep passion for artistic expression.
Her musical story took a defining turn on 16th December 2024, when her father presented her with a saxophone and boldly declared her its owner. What began as a playful moment soon unfolded into a remarkable journey of musical discovery. That same day marked the start of her professional tutelage under her mentor, Evangelist S. K. Alebiosu, whose guidance helped uncover and nurture her God-given gift.
In a stunning debut that surprised many, Temidire made her first public performance on 24th December 2024 at a Christmas Carol Night. Her performance captivated the audience, earning admiration and applause for her confidence, skill, and emotional depth—an extraordinary feat for one so young.
Since then, her musical light has continued to shine on notable platforms, including the 2025 Musical Conference, CAC National Youth Conference, and CAC National Children Conference, all held in Ikeji Arakeji. She has also graced wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, special programs, and other memorable events with her soul-lifting performances.
Through dedication, discipline, and divine inspiration, Pemisire Temidire Excel has emerged as a beacon of youthful excellence, using music as a powerful tool to inspire, uplift, and unite people.
