It was a jubilation galore as hundreds of people in Oba ile , in Akure North Local Government area of ondo state went home joyfully to celebrate with their families as Prince Adeusi Gbadebo Orioge , CEO of Aladetoye Orioge AFSL UK, princess Moradeyo Bayode -Orioge ,distributor Araimo accessories and Chief Adedipe Ileowo gifted them food stuffs for the celebration of birth of Jesus Christ.
The gift which consist tubers of yam, rice and garri in large quantities were freely given out to women.
However, the major beneficiaries of the gesture were aged , widows and less privileged in the community
Presenting the food items , Chief Adedipe Ileowo, the Adaja of Oba- ile said the gesture was borne out of lay down principle of their late grandfather , Oba Aladetoye Orioge , who cherished helping the poor during his life time and loved extending hands of gesture to the needy out of the little he had that time
” we emulated our grandfather ,Oba Aladetoye Orioge who taught us to be kind and nice to people over the little resources we have in assisting the poor”
” we planned and we brought to reality giving to the poor had been laid by the late King we will continue building better and stronger on the good gesture ,said Adaja.
The women appreciated the good hands of gesture saying they have something to take back home for their children to eat for the Xmas
One Mrs Margaret Adeuti ,70 years old said she never expected this but when she was invited to attend , and saw the items handed over to her, said she was highly over whelmed
” I could not hold my feelings towards this beautiful gesture ,if other well meaning Nigerians have been doing it gradually like this , situation would have been better for common people” she said.
