2025 AINPN Week: Ondo Newspaper Publishers Hold Thanksgiving As Public Lecture & Awards Slated For Dec 19
As part of the activities celebrating the 2025 Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN) Week, the Redeemed Christian Church of God Holy Ghost Parish, Akure today Sunday, 14th December, 2025 held the Thanksgiving Service of the association.
The thanksgiving was the maiden edition of the association’s visiting a church to appreciate God’s guidance and faithfulness in the lives of members, families and staff since the association was established over a decade ago.
The welll attended Thanksgiving had families and staff of members dancing and appreciating God for the grace to witness the 2025 edition of the AINPN Week.
In his sermon titled “Essence of Gratitude”, the President of AINPN, Olaseeni Oyesusi who doubles as Minister in the church enjoined congregation to always give thanks to Almighty God and fellow human beings saying it goes a long way in the present of God and man.
He noted that ingratitude blocked a lot of favours and blessings, saying God appreciate and value thanksgiving let alone human beings.
Oyesusi thanked God in the lives of the members of the association, noting that God has been faithful and merciful to every member since the inception of this year.
Speaking, Assistant Pastor in charge of Province 9, who is also the Pastor of the Church, Pastor George Adewale prayed for the Association and members while urging them to prioritize praises and thanksgiving in all situations. The Province 9 APICP admin enjoined the Publishers to always put God first in whatever they do.
While praying for the Publishers, the Area Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Holy Ghost Zone, Pastor (Mrs) Titilayo Olumuyiwa told the congregation that publishing was actually invented in the scriptures and so the blessings and safety of God will always be upon the Publishers.
Meanwhile, the grand finale of the programme is the Public Lecture and Award slated for Friday 19th December, 2025 at NMA Hall Alagbaka Akure, Ondo State. The theme of the 2025 AINPN Lecture and Award is the Rise of One-Party Dominance: Implications for Democracy and the 2027 General Election to be delivered by Prof. Sola Fayose of Space Physics Department,
Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba- Akoko.
Some of the prominent Nigerians to be decorated include Dr Seinde Fadeni, Hon Timehin Adelegbe, Dr Niyi Ijogun, Dr (Mrs)Damilola Oshin, Bishop Felix Adejumo, HRM Alaba Omotunde Adako, CP Adebowale Lawal, Hon Balarabe Akinwunmi, Comrade Ademola Odudu, Dr Oluwafemi Fadairo, Comrade Bola Taiwo and Mr. and Mrs Alaro.
