Owena Press Chairman, Prince Kayode Fasua, Wins Most Outstanding Media Executive Award

The Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press, publishers of The Hope titles, Prince Kayode Adelelekun Fasua, has been honoured with the Most Outstanding Media Executive Award in Ondo State.

The prestigious recognition was conferred on him by Focus Magazine on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Medical Health Workers Hall, Ilesha Road, Akure, in the presence of a distinguished audience.

Speaking with The Democrat News Magazine shortly after receiving the award insignia, Prince Fasua expressed profound joy and gratitude. He noted that the honour serves as a powerful motivation for the entire Hope Newspaper team.

“This award is for all of us at The Hope Newspaper. We work together, toil together, and pursue the growth of the organization together,” he said. “Within the short time we came on board, we have witnessed tremendous development. I thank our Governor for my appointment.”

Prince Fasua highlighted some notable achievements under his leadership, including the launch of a periodic Hope Magazine, digital daily  publication that attracts over 50, 000and strategic plans for 2026. Among these plans is the establishment of the Hope Institute of Journalism, aimed at equipping journalists with advanced skills to enhance their craft.

He commended journalists across Ondo State for upholding the ethics of the profession and urged them to remain a blessing to society.

The event also celebrated several other distinguished awardees. ACP Akinroye Kabiru Adesina, Area Commander of Akure Urban, appreciated Focus Magazine for recognizing security efforts in the state, dedicating his award to officers in his division.
Julius David Adanlawo, the Asiwaju Atunluse of Ilekun, dedicated his award to his mother, acknowledging her constant encouragement.
Chief DSP Adesina Ojomunof of Akungba described the recognition as a challenge to do even more, thanking his grandmother and father for their early guidance.
Other awardees, including Akinwumi Olagoke, also expressed gratitude and pledged greater service to society.

The ceremony was marked by celebration, reflection, and renewed commitment to excellence among honorees.
