AGBAWUMI EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION & ONDO CPS, PRINCE ADENIYAN LIGHT UP LIVES WITH MAIDEN GRAND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME FOR THE AGED

In a moving display of compassion, unity, and community upliftment, the Agbawumi Empowerment Foundation, a subsidiary of Divine Glory Cooperative, in collaboration with Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, empowered more than 100 aged men, women, and less privileged residents of Akure in a landmark event that will be remembered for years to come.

The Maiden Empowerment Programme themed “Sustaining Hope, Empowering Lives: Touching Lives, Uplifting the Elderly & the Less Privileged” was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the House of Prayer Ministries for All Nations, Ondo Road, Akure, and drew dignitaries and community leaders from across the state.

Declaring the event open, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan emphasized that the programme was designed to bring joy and relief to senior citizens and vulnerable groups within the cooperative and beyond. He pledged to make the empowerment initiative an annual tradition, further cementing his commitment to improving the welfare of Ondo State’s elderly population.

Speaking with The Democrat News Magazine, Pastor Akintomiwa Osuntuyi, Vice President of Ife Oluwa Oyemekun Cooperative Society and Coordinator of Divine Glory, expressed heartfelt gratitude and reaffirmed the essence of the initiative.
According to him, “The purpose of this event is to encourage, uplift, and carry our people along. Our CPS promised during our Annual General Meeting—and today, he has fulfilled that promise, blessing more than 100 beneficiaries.”

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Samuel Fakunle, praised the dedication behind the project and the spirit of giving that fueled its success.
He noted, “We appreciate Pastor Osuntuyi for the vision of the Agbawumi Foundation. We also deeply thank our amiable CPS, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan. He does not segregate himself—he stands with us. He promised to give ₦50,000 each to the aged members, and today we celebrate that fulfillment.”

Beneficiaries showered appreciation on Prince Adeniyan, describing him as a beacon of hope whose selflessness continues to enrich the lives of the elderly and vulnerable in Ondo State.

The event climaxed with prophetic blessings from Prophet Adewumi, General Overseer of House of Prayer for All Nations. He prayed for divine increase upon the cooperative’s leadership and declared that the cooperative would soon grow into a Microfinance Bank, a prophecy that sent waves of excitement across the hall.

As the programme drew to a close, the atmosphere turned celebratory as attendees took to the dance floor, rejoicing while being entertained with an array of delicious meals and refreshing drinks.

The 2025 Maiden Empowerment Programme stands not only as a testament to collective goodwill but as a shining example of what true community service looks like—transforming lives, igniting hope, and building a stronger, more compassionate society.
