Ijapo High School Celebrates Class of 2025 in Grand Style As Dr. Jogbodo Urges Students to Keep the Flag of Excellence Flying
It was a day filled with joy, gratitude and celebration on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as Ijapo High School, Akure, hosted the Valedictory Service for the Class of 2025 in grand style.
The event was held within the school premises, gathered dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students in a colourful atmosphere of music, art, and heartfelt tributes.
The school community came alive as it celebrated the academic brilliance and moral strength of the graduating class, many of whom achieved exceptional results in the 2024/2025 WAEC examination.
In her warm and inspiring address, the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Fadekemi Jogbodo, expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the outgoing students. She described the day as “one of thanksgiving, reflection, and celebration”—a moment to honour the perseverance, discipline, and achievements of students who had journeyed through years of learning and growth.
“What lies ahead is an open field of endless possibilities,” Dr. Jogbodo told them. “Go forth and shine. Be courageous, be kind, be innovative, and uphold the good name of Ijapo High School wherever you go.”
Her words drew rounds of applause as parents and students nodded in admiration, inspired by her message of hope and purpose.
Dr. Jogbodo extended heartfelt appreciation to parents and guardians for their unwavering support and sacrifices throughout their children’s academic journey in the school.
She also commended the teachers and staff for their tireless dedication and passion, describing them as “the backbone of every success we celebrate today.”

Emotions ran high as the Senior Boy and Senior Girl of the Class of 2025 received glowing testimonials from the Principal, who praised them as shining examples of discipline, diligence and integrity.
In her closing charge, Dr. Jogbodo urged the outgoing students to carry the Ijapo spirit into the world and to be ambassadors of excellence wherever they go.

In his message, Reverend Sola Ebenezer Adekanle encouraged the students to embrace Christ—the Way, the Truth, and the Life—emphasizing that true success comes from walking with God and urged them to be courageous, reject fear, and shine as lights in the wider world.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, including Mrs. Tinuke Adetuyi (Vice Principal, Administration), Mrs. Akanle (Vice Principal, Special Duties), Mrs. A.O. (Vice Principal, Academics), Pastor Mrs. Olujimi Grace O. (Class Coordinator), Mrs. Agbeleye R.O. (PTA Chairman), Mrs. Gbadebo B.S.
