Politics Rooted in Service: Hon. Aroloye Champions People-Centered Programmes
The Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor, Hon. (Olori) Oyinkansola Aroloye, has reiterated her unwavering commitment to grassroots empowerment, youth development, and community upliftment — declaring that politics must be anchored on people-oriented programmes, not personal gain.
Speaking at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ijare, where she was honoured as Chairperson of the 2025 Juvenile Harvest Thanksgiving Service, Hon. Aroloye emphasized the need to reposition politics as a tool for human and societal development.
A proud indigene of Ijare Ward 2 in Ifedore Local Government Area, Olori Aroloye used the occasion to highlight her journey in politics — one inspired by a deep-seated passion for service, equity, and empowerment.
As the founder of the Oyinaroloye Gender Empowerment Initiative, she noted that her advocacy for the underprivileged, especially women, widows, and youth, predates her political appointment. Through her initiative, she has consistently launched annual programmes aimed at equipping these vulnerable groups with the tools for sustainable growth and self-reliance across all wards in her constituency.
“Some of the women who initially aligned with opposition parties embraced the All Progressives Congress (APC) after benefiting from our empowerment programmes. That singular move strengthened our party’s grassroots presence,” she revealed.
She expressed profound appreciation to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering support and leadership, dedicating her most recent programme to him and offering prayers for his continued success.
“Politics for me has never been about bitterness or self-enrichment. It is about service, development, and creating lasting impact,” she affirmed.
Hon. Aroloye also lauded the governor’s performance, particularly the approval and ongoing work on the Ijare-Akure Expressway. She described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a visionary leader whose commitment to infrastructure, healthcare, education, and empowerment programmes is transforming Ondo State.
