Olawoye Hails Quality of Work on Akure Flyover Project, Calls for Patience
The Ondo State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, has expressed satisfaction with the level of progress and quality of work done on the ongoing Onyearugbulem/ Shagari flyover project along Ilesha/ Akure/ Owo expressway .
Engr. Olawoye, who led a team of directors from the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure on an inspection visit to the project site, commended the contractors for maintaining high engineering standards as the casting of the prestressed beams commenced.
He described the milestone as a significant step in the state government’s commitment to delivering durable and sustainable infrastructure for the people of Ondo State.
The Commissioner appreciated the visionary leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, noting that the Governor’s dedication to sustainable development would continue to drive major infrastructural progress across the state.
In the meantime, Olawoye also appealed to residents and road users around the construction area to remain calm and patient during this phase of work, saying that the temporary inconveniences will soon give way to a modern flyover designed to ease traffic congestion, improve safety, and enhance connectivity within Akure and its environs.
He also assured residents of the state that all the ongoing road projects across the state would be timely completed and rehabilitation and construction of new roads in all the 18 local government areas would soon be embarked on as directed by the governor.
