Soul Winning With Fire: RCCG Ondo Province 4 Holds Spirit-Filled Evangelists’ Retreat at Ifewara
Members of the Directorate of Evangelism, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ondo Province 4, gathered for a spiritually enriching retreat at Mount Carmel Prayer Village, Ifewara, Osun State.
The two-day encounter, themed “Fire in My Bones”, took place on Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, 2025, and was marked by fervent worship, deep biblical insights and renewed spiritual passion.
The retreat was led by the Provincial Evangelist, Pastor Babatunde Owa, who also doubled as the retreat coordinator. In his welcome address, Pastor Owa urged participants to develop a deep hunger for God’s power, emphasizing that genuine spiritual growth is only possible when believers are fully yielded to the Holy Spirit. His charge set the tone for an atmosphere of divine expectation and spiritual intensity.
Guest speaker, Pastor Ezekiel Adebire, took participants on a transformative journey through the scriptures. He expounded powerfully on the theme, igniting a fresh understanding of what it means to carry the fire of God within. Each message was complemented by intense sessions of prayer, as hearts cried out for a deeper encounter with the divine.
Throughout the retreat, five major sessions were held, each tailored to deepen the participants’ commitment to evangelism and soul-winning. Topics such as Spiritual Blood Detoxification, The Fire in My Bones and Its Benefits, Evangelism with Passion, It Pays to Work for God, and Styles of Soul Winning and Follow-Up, provided a comprehensive spiritual toolkit for every evangelist in attendance.
The retreat was not only about teaching but also featured dynamic moments of interaction and engagement. Devotion sessions, worship and powerful personal testimonies created an atmosphere charged with God’s presence. Participants were encouraged to ask questions and seek clarifications on challenges faced in the field of evangelism, making the event both practical and inspiring.
As the retreat drew to a close, many testified of a fresh fire ignited in their hearts—a rekindled passion for evangelism and service in God’s vineyard. The collective resolve was clear: to return to their various parishes and communities with renewed strength and unwavering commitment to the Great Commission.
Indeed, “Fire in My Bones” was more than a theme—it became a living reality for every evangelist present. The retreat at Ifewara will be remembered not just as a gathering, but as a divine encounter that reignited the flames of purpose, passion, and power in the hearts of God’s messengers.
