In a bid to drive home the message of national rebirth and value reorientation, Ondo East Local Government has intensified its Nationwide Sensitization Campaign across key communities within the local government area. The campaign is spearheaded by the COMO in Charge of the LG, Mrs. Bolanle Akinnubi, who led a vibrant outreach to the Hausa community, artisans, and traders at Owena market.
During the campaign, Mrs. Akinnubi engaged stakeholders on critical thematic areas, including national ethics, peaceful coexistence, community security, economic empowerment, and environmental responsibility. Her visit brought together community leaders and representatives from diverse groups.
The Chairman of the Welders Association, Owena Branch, Mr. Akinduro Segun, alongside the Secretary, Mr. Okechukwu Mathew, lauded the initiative, describing it as “timely and impactful” for grassroots development.
Equally appreciative was the Hausa community in Bolorunduro, with their Chairman, Abdullahi Kadirir Muhammed, and Secretary, Danjuma Me Gida, expressing gratitude for the government’s effort in community enlightenment. They particularly praised the focus on security and appealed to the government to step up mediation efforts in the ongoing clashes between farmers and herders.
