Bringing the Message Home: NOA Leads Sensitization Drive Across Religious and Traditional Institutions in Ilaje LG

In a dedicated effort to foster community awareness and national development, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has taken its sensitization and enlightenment campaign to key religious and traditional institutions across Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The campaign, which focused on five thematic areas central to national unity and progress, featured strategic advocacy visits to influential stakeholders in the community.

The first stop was at the Central Mosque, Igbokoda, where the NOA team was warmly received by Chief Imam Yisa. The team engaged the congregation on the importance of active citizenship, community cohesion, and value reorientation.

Following this, the team paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Olu of Igbokoda. Though His Royal Majesty was unavoidably absent, the NOA “Flyer Explainer” was officially presented on his behalf to High Chief Lebile Afolabi Isaga, who received the delegation with great enthusiasm.

The campaign continued at the Living Act of Apostles Church of Christ, Larada, Igbokoda. Rev. Obakulujo Bamison received the team and commended the initiative, assuring that the message would be spread across his congregation and beyond.

Each engagement session highlighted the critical roles of religious and traditional leaders in sustaining peace, unity, and moral values in society. The presentation of NOA materials — including the “Explainer” — served as a visual and practical guide to the agency’s ongoing grassroots mobilization efforts.

The campaign was spearheaded by Mr. Ediolu Metibemu, the Community Mobilization Officer (COMO) for Ilaje LGA, whose leadership and coordination ensured the success of the outreach.

With these impactful engagements, the NOA reaffirms its commitment to grassroots advocacy and continues to position traditional and religious institutions as vital partners in national development.
