Church Dedication: St. John’s Anglican Church, Ipesi Akoko, Invites General Public
In a profound testament to God’s enduring faithfulness and the unyielding spirit of communal worship, the Diocese of Akoko, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), joyfully announces the grand dedication ceremony of St. John’s Anglican Church, Ipesi Akoko. This momentous event stands not only as a celebration of a sacred edifice now complete but also as a heartfelt thanksgiving for the divine grace bestowed upon the life and ministry of the Vicar, The Rev’d Chap. Gabriel Bamidele Olowolagba, and his beloved wife, Mrs. R. B. Olowolagba.
Scheduled for Saturday, 31st May, 2025, this historic occasion promises to be one of spiritual depth and radiant joy. Held within the newly dedicated church auditorium, the service will begin at 10:00 AM, ushering in a wave of worship, reverence, and communal unity. It is a call to all — near and far — to witness firsthand the manifestation of God’s promise fulfilled in the life of a church that has become a beacon of hope in the heart of Akoko land.
The dedication ceremony is being meticulously coordinated under the stewardship of Dr. F.O. Balogun, Chairman of the Dedication Planning Committee, and Prince Adejugbe Adeboye, Committee Secretary. Their vision and devotion have beautifully shaped this event, ensuring that every moment is crafted to glorify God and inspire the faithful. From the stirring hymns of praise to the solemn prayers of thanksgiving, the celebration is expected to be one of divine encounter and spiritual renewal.
At the center of this joyous occasion stands The Rev’d Chap. Gabriel Bamidele Olowolagba, a devoted servant of God whose leadership, prayers, and pastoral care have touched countless lives. The event is as much a dedication of brick and mortar as it is a tribute to a life poured out in humble service to the Lord and His people. Alongside his wife, Mrs. R. B. Olowolagba, their journey is a living testimony to the sustaining grace of God — a story that will be honored with deep gratitude and heartfelt praise during the service.
All members of the body of Christ, friends of the church, and well-wishers are warmly invited to partake in this rare celebration of divine faithfulness and communal triumph. Come and rejoice with us, as we raise our voices and hearts in worship, dedicating this holy ground to the eternal glory of God. Let the stones cry out in praise, for the Lord has done great things, and we are glad indeed.
