In celebration of May Day 2025, Hon. Bosun Ogunleye, Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Mobilization and Coordinator of All Special Assistants in Akure South, has extended heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency, the Governor, and to the entire workforce of Ondo State. As workers across the nation mark this symbolic day of honour and reflection, Hon. Ogunleye’s message resonates as a tribute to the strength, resilience, and industrious spirit of Ondo’s labour force.

 

Speaking with The Democrat News Magazine on Thursday, May 1st in Akure, Hon. Ogunleye lauded the pivotal role workers play in the advancement of the state. He described them as the heartbeat of government policies and the engine that drives sustainable development. “This day is not just a celebration of labour,” he noted, “but a reminder of the silent sacrifices and daily diligence of our public servants who keep the machinery of governance running.”

 

Hon. Ogunleye particularly praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers in the state. He highlighted the Governor’s proactive policies, consistent salary payments, improved working conditions, and various motivational packages as clear evidence of a leader who truly understands the needs of his people. According to him, such gestures have not only fostered trust but have also inspired greater productivity within the civil service.

 

He emphasized that the administration’s worker-focused initiatives have restored dignity to labour in Ondo State, reinforcing the bond between leadership and the people. “Mr. Governor’s benevolence has renewed hope among workers and created a more vibrant and committed workforce,” Hon. Ogunleye remarked, urging all employees to continue giving their best in service to the state.

 

As the spirit of May Day fills the air, Hon. Ogunleye called for unity, perseverance, and continued dialogue between the government and labour unions. He expressed confidence in the Governor’s leadership and reaffirmed his own commitment to supporting policies that uplift the workforce.
